RP: ” As I have been winching too many times, this page will be dedicated to instruction and do’s & dont’s regarding winching & safety. 

I have been an instructor at the  Land Rover Driving Experience (and several other occasions), but my knowledge and skills come from actual off-roading, from a Yamaha XT 600 to a Steyr Expedition Camper. From the Sahara to the Arctic Circle. But most of all: six years of competing in the European Challenge scene.

However, I do not pretend to be a professional, just a guy who has seen and experienced a lot. I will try to share my experience on this website, but the best way to learn and to get to know your vehicle, is to book a course with an off-road driving school. They will teach you all the ins & outs of your particular vehicle and the basic driving skills.

Hopefully we will meet someday in the ‘wild’, just reach out to me, and I will try to give you some tips and best practices.”
