THAT’S A WRAP!

We are busy transforming Monster towards our Mountain Yacht. We used the last two months for definitive planning, measurements and ordering the last bits & pieces.

We also started with the actual build of the inside: heater, water and electricity, we will write separate articles on every part of that in the near future. We installed solar panels on the roof (two can be tilted) and the bathroom is almost finished.

With the transformation towards our Mountain Yacht we need our logo on the Box. Our first idea is to use big stickers, like we have on our Sprinter 4×4. After some discussion we agree that just a sticker will be a little ‘flimsy’ on our big box.

So we contact Ronald from [goedsign] in Woerden. They also made the stickers for our Sprinter 4×4 and we are very satisfied with their service. Ronald passed our question (to come up with a cool design) towards Hans and a week later we have the design in our mailbox.

We immediately like the design, Hans uses the ingredients of our logo and that is just spot on. We agree on price and make an appointment to have the wrap done.

We have to be there at 8 o’clock in the morning, so an early rise and shine for us, as Amy has to pick me up with Tonka. We drop Monster, have a coffee and talk to Ronald and the guys who will do the job.

We witness the preparations: degreasing the Raptor surface and the placement of the wrap on the HX.

It turnes out te be a time consuming job as the box has many features on it like vents, filling openings, hatches and the tree sliders. The Raptor liner (the paint on our rig) also proves to be a challenging material for a wrap.

So Monster has to sleep over and the day after Hans calls us around lunch time: ‘your monstertruck is ready and we all love it!’

When we park Tonka and walk into the building we are immediately happy with the outcome. When we drive the HX outside our happiness turns into WOW!

The guys from [goedsign] did a fantastic job with all the little details that they had to cut out and adjust.

We think that the result is smashing, matches who we are and that it really completes the looks of our Mountain Yacht.
