This is the Privacy Statement of Dutch-overlanders.com. It describes how your personal data collected by Dutch-Overlanders.com is handled.

It explains where your data is stored and for what purposes your data is stored. In addition, you will also find all your rights with regard to your data and how you can use those rights. The privacy statement will sometimes be changed due to, for example, legislative changes. It is therefore advisable to consult the statement periodically.

2. Dutch-Overlanders.com

Dutch-Overlanders.com is an online magazine with news and stories about camper builds and overland travel stories. The content is provided by an independent editorial team, better known as Amy&RP. Dutch-Overlanders.com is a brand name.

There are situations in which your data is collected by Dutch-Overlanders.com. It is therefore important that you know what is done with it and how you can indicate your wishes regarding your data. That is what this statement is about.

3. Data Collected
Data Storage Location

We are a Netherlands based company. Our hosting provider Vimexx only uses data servers within the EU, ensuring that your data is securely stored and GDPR compliant. 

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our site for anonymous reporting of site usage. So, no personalized data is stored.

We do this because we would like to know which pages are visited the most on our website. This data is stored indefinitely within Google Analytics. Analytics’ data collection  gives us the opportunity to keep the website interesting and keep it interesting for the target group.  We do not use this data for retargeting and you will therefore not encounter automatic advertisements from Dutch-Overlanders.com anywhere outside the platform itself.

Mailing list

By signing up to our mailing list, you agree that we may send you an email every now and then with news, travel stories and tips how to build an overlanding vehicle. Your e-mail address will not be shared with a third party and you can unsubscribe from the mailing by clicking unsubscribe at the bottom of the mail.  We keep your email address in a mailing program account which is secured with a password.

Registration Data

If you register on our website, we store your email address and any additional personal information added to your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit this information.

Comments

When you leave comments on the website we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Contact Form

Information submitted through the contact form on our site is sent to our company email, hosted by VIMEXX. 

These submissions are only kept for customer service purposes they are never used for marketing purposes or shared with third parties.

3. Embedded Content

Pages on this site may include embedded content, like YouTube videos, for example. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. Youtube

6. How Long We Retain Your Data For

If you register on our website, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information. We retain this information until you decide  to unsubscribe.

7. Your Data Rights
Right of access

You have the right to request your data at all times, which are recorded and stored at Dutch-Overlanders.com. You can do this by sending an e-mail to info@dutch-overlanders.com. You will then receive an overview of your data.

Right to rectification

Is your data incorrect? Or have your details changed? You have the right to have this rectified by Dutch-Overlanders.com. You can adjust your information used for the newsletter via the appropriate url at the bottom of each email.

Right to be forgotten

Do you no longer want your data to be stored with Dutch-Overlanders.com? Then you have the right to have your data deleted.

Right to submit a complaint

You have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you believe that Dutch-Overlanders.com does not handle your data correctly.

You can use of these rights via info@dutch-overlanders.com by sending your request or complaint. The aim is to respond within a week.
