In 2017 we bought a Sprinter 4×4 in Germany as it was virtually impossible to find in The Netherlands. We immediately started the conversion into a campervan. Our aim was a ‘bed on wheels’ as we live outside in the summer and only sleep in it in the winter.

So a full size, fixed and good quality bed was on top of our list. This meant that we had to give up on space  to sit. No shower and limited kitchen area. Instead we have lots of storage room and room to change into our ski gear, etc. After 5 years we are still happy with our conversion and everything works as it was supposed to do.

As we are moving towards Mountain Yachting we decided that our Sprinter 4×4 had to have a name. Because it is fairly agile and decent off-road and perfect in the snow we decided on freerider!
